Randy Cassingham's Bonzer Web Sites of the Week: Recognizing Interesting Sites that are Beyond the Microsoft/AOL-Time Warner/Media Megalith

SkyGuy

The brainchild of Tom Vilot, an artist and self-taught software engineer with an interest in astronomy. As a volunteer at the Fiske Planetarium in Boulder, Colo., Vilot received many interesting astronomy questions from young visitors. His response was to launch SkyGuy to showcase his video answers to these questions, and others that viewers send in. Funny and entertaining with the learning element well summarized and interesting for a lay audience. The site is still new, but if he can maintain the quality and rate of growth, SkyGuy could well achieve fame to match its tagline -- "The sky is not the limit!" (ME)
