Museum of Obscure Patents

Run by a patent lawyer (and law professor at Syracuse University College of Law), the Museum — and be sure to scroll down a bit for the “Obscure Patent of the Week” — highlights “obscure” patents issued by the US Patent Office. Why “obscure”? Patents are featured “because the Patent Office has made an obvious mistake and the patent should never have issued. Other times it is because the patent covers something exciting, cool or otherwise interesting, but something you would not encounter every day. Still other times it is because I find a patent that will help me discuss a particular topic of patent law and hopefully provide some meaningful commentary.” In any case, the featured real patent is a wonder to behold.
