Wait! This is more interesting than you might think. We've all seen the "red and blue" maps of how the states voted, but they don't really paint an accurate picture of what happened, since not every state has the same population as every other state. And too, the popular vote is one thing; the electoral college is very much another. This site at the University of Michigan uses "cartograms" to show the maps in a more mathematically correct way, with interesting and informative discussion of each view.
