Our goal is to apply the best practices of both journalism and scholarship, and to increase public knowledge and understanding." They accept no funding from business corporations, labor unions, political parties, lobbying organizations or individuals, relying only on an endowment from the late Walter Annenberg (who became a billionaire as the publisher of TV Guide and many other publications).
