You may think you know the work of Charles Darwin. You're probably wrong. (Darwin came up with the theory of evolution, right? Wrong. Not even close.) Darwin Online is by far the largest Darwin collection in history. It contains over 40,000 pages of searchable text and 116,000 electronic images. The site contains all known Darwin publications. In addition, all of Darwin's unpublished manuscripts are being scanned or transcribed, or both. There are also more than 290 supplementary items such as reviews of Darwin's books, obituaries and recollections, biographies, items cited by Darwin and important works for studying Darwin's life and work. This sort of site is an example of what the web could be: A truly amazing resource for complete study.

by Jerry Fodor, Massimo Piattelli-Palmarini
Amazon Price: $17.16
Customer Review:
